After engaging in stable school operations and producing outstanding productive graduates for forty-five years, Vantan Design Institute was certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Justice in 2009 as an educational institution permitted to accept international students. If applicants pass our admissions examination and are deemed to be suitable for admission to Vantan Design Institute as a international student, they can obtain the college student visa and begin taking classes as part of a curriculum lasting one and three years in duration alongside Japanese students at our main school in Ebisu (known as a neighborhood for creators) in April 2011. As classes will be held in Japanese, admission will be restricted to applicants who have attained level 2 Japanese language proficiency or higher. Nevertheless, even individuals and novices without previous experience in studying art and design subjects can otherwise seek admission to the school (with the exception of the Vantan Design Institute’s advanced-level X-SEED program). We operate representative offices in a variety of different Asian countries where applications can be submitted and entrance examinations are administered. In addition, we can also refer persons with Japanese language difficulties to Japanese-language schools and help arrange student housing for foreign students. We are looking to attract foreign students from Asia, Europe, America, and elsewhere.
